Catering in Geelong: How to Choose a Caterer for Your Party, Office or Wedding

Whether it's a backyard birthday, an office lunch or a wedding for 200, catering in Geelong comes down to the same questions: how many people, what they eat, what it costs, and how much help you need on the day. Here's a practical guide, with our own prices so you can budget.

1. Start with guest numbers and the style of service

For 25 or more guests, a per-person buffet package is usually simplest. For smaller groups, or if you're serving it yourself, bulk trays by the kilo are better value.

2. Budget per person

Curry Queen Catering Co. packages (all include rice, naan, raita and salad):

  • 25+ guests: $29pp (2 starters, 2 mains) or $34pp (3 starters, 3 mains)

  • 35+ guests: $37pp (4 starters, 3 mains), $40pp (4 starters, 4 mains) or $45pp (5 starters, 4 mains, 1 dessert)

  • Platinum, 40+ guests: $49pp (5 starters, 5 mains, 1 dessert)

Add a dessert from $2.50pp, or an extra starter or main for $3pp.

3. Ask about every diet

A good caterer should cover vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and religious requirements without fuss. Indian food makes this easy: we use halal-certified meat, and many of our curries are naturally vegan or gluten-free.

4. Decide how much help you need

Buffet station setup is available, a service staff member costs $299 for five hours, and disposable cutlery and drinks are $5.99 per person.

5. Consider bulk trays for home parties

Our bulk menu comes in 2kg, 4kg and 5kg trays: butter chicken, dal makhni, biryani, paneer, tandoori starters, chaat and desserts. It's perfect for birthdays, Diwali, Eid and footy finals at home.

6. Book early for busy seasons

Christmas parties, wedding season and festival dates fill quickly. Send us your date as soon as you know it.
